The School of Engineering and Architecture of Fribourg (HEIA-FR), a member institution of the Uni- versity of Applied Sciences and Arts of Western Switzerland (HES-SO), offers bilingual study programs at the Bachelor and Master levels. The HEIA-FR invites applications to fill the position of:
Academic Associate UAS for steel structuresMission and Scope of Activities
- Perform in-depth analysis of metal structures
- Develop numerical simulation models to predict the behavior of metal structures under variable conditions
- Participate actively in research in the field of engineering and structural behavior of steel members and structures
- Contribute to innovation and development of new analytical and conceptual design methods for steel structures
- Participate in the organization of talks, events, fairs and in exam supervisions for the degree program of civil engineering
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering
- Solid skills in the field of structural analysis and behavior of connections in metal structures
- Proficiency with structural analysis software (Robot, SCIA, REVIT…)
- Proficiency with ABAQUS is an advantage
- Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Proficiency in French or German (oral and writing) with a very good level in the other language, as well as in English
Additional information
- One-year contract, renewable
- 60–70% full-time equivalent
